About Your Role: We are looking for a Part-time Finance & Administration Officer to join our fast paced, dynamic and collaborative head office team. Reporting to our General Manager, your role will assist with day-to-day finance and payroll operations across our business (Aus and NZ), ensuring that everything you are involved in runs smoothly. This part time role is office based, 5 x days per week (exact hours will be negotiated with the successful person). Here's a sneak peek at some of your responsibilities: • Day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable • Administer 2 x monthly payrolls across Australia and New Zealand up to processing stage (completed by external bookkeepers) • Handle timesheet processing and employee-related financial transactions as well as resolving any queries • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Assist our external Bookkeeper in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • Assist with specialist reports including annual WGEA reporting • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities • Provide support to our external Bookkeepers and accountants for BAS and tax returns and assist with audits • Coordinate and oversee Company vehicle program as well as coordinating travel bookings as required • Contribute to systems & process improvements, including MS user training • Act as the go-to contact for expense reimbursements and provide training/support to internal teams • Maintain accurate and up to date data and record keeping in our internal HRIS • Perform accounting-related tasks as needed as well as administration support with tenders and sales presentations • Collaborate with key internal/external stakeholders to ensure you have the most up to date information at your fingertips About You: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance role covering both Australia and New Zealand pays / invoicing • High level administration skills and computer literacy with Xero as well as MS office products • Strong organisational, negotiation and multitasking skills • High level numeracy and data entry skills with experience in meaningful metrics reporting • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders • Capability of working within a team environment and autonomously • A proactive and problem-solving approach to financial management • At ease with working on multiple items / juggling competing deadlines at any one time • Proven experience to go the extra mile with delivery service standards • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and a champion of following through to completion with anything you are involved in • Understanding of the merchandising industry plus experience using Employment Hero Payroll platform will be highly regarded; and above all • You understand that finance is about more than debits and credits — it’s about trust, discretion, accuracy and delivering on promises.
