Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) TIA clinic assesses and diagnoses suspected cases of TIA and stroke. About the role: Reporting to the Network Director of Neurology, you will be providing administrative support for the designated outpatient clinical teams. This involves coordinating patient's bookings, patient reception duties and clerical support, to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day management of clinic services. Duties for the role will include: Organize workflows, assist with correspondence, and help staff meet work deadlines. Perform high-skill keyboard, dictation, and reception duties, including managing phone calls and urgent inquiries. Maintain an effective filing system, ensuring confidentiality and timely retrieval of documents. Provide clerical support, including handling mail, fax communications, and office equipment maintenance. Manage patient bookings, appointment changes, and cancellations, while liaising with medical staff and the TIA Patient Coordinator. About you: Strong communication skills with professionals and executives in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Committed to maintaining confidentiality and prioritizing workloads effectively. Demonstrated experience in administrative tasks, personal assistant/receptionist roles, and working in a complex healthcare or outpatient clinic setting.
