Our Water Group in South Australia delivers innovative water and wastewater infrastructure projects and solutions for our key Clients across the municipal, energy and resources, transport, defence and property and building sectors. With a strong pipeline of work in water infrastructure, including assessment and planning of water distribution and collection systems such as potable water networks and sewers, we are seeking a driven and passionate Water Engineer with hydraulic modelling experience eager for the next step in their career to join our local team. Bringing an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships, you will utilise your expertise to deliver complex and ambitious water projects for our clients. You’ll have a balance of technical work and design management and support the continued growth of our team’s hydraulic modelling capabilities through mentoring. Our position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Providing detailed hydraulic modelling and design services for water and wastewater systems for projects in both SA and Australia-wide. Use of your technical, project management and client relationship skills to lead the technical delivery of small and medium projects and make a valued contribution to major projects. Understanding client and project technical requirements, assisting to develop solutions, and preparation of technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including business development, and engagement throughout project delivery. What you will bring to the team: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, coupled with 8 years’ experience that includes the development and review of hydraulic models associated with water and wastewater networks. Eligible to be a Professional Member of Engineers Australia. SA Water experience and knowledge of assets highly desirable. Proven experience and a sound understanding of water and wastewater network planning and hydraulic modelling tools (Bentley OpenFlows Water & Innovyze Infoworks ICM) The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals.
