Schools and Regional Services comprises 17 Areas within four regions across the state, as well as five central Divisions. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists to join the South-Eastern Victoria Region as an Administration Support Officer (VPS2) within the Southern Melbourne Area. The Administration Support Officer assists with the administrative tasks of the Southern Melbourne Area, to ensure smooth operation. The Administration Support Officer, under the direction of the Manager, Planning and Implementation, will work closely with the Administration Officer and the School Improvement Project Support Officer to ensure that required supports are provided across the Area. The role is critical to the effective operations of the Department. The role involves periods of sustained independent work, as well as frequent and varied contact with members of the Department and community. The role demands flexibility and the ability to work in a highly collaborative and supportive way with other staff. The Administration Support Officer will demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and initiative in the performance of their tasks. This role involves a range of administrative tasks and requires an applied level of attention to detail, organisation, and commitment to excellence, in service delivery. Administration tasks may include the following support with guidance: * Support of office/facilities management, including fleet services. * Records management, including administration of Area Sharepoint sites. * Procurement, including hospitality, travel, office supplies and general invoice processing. * General administration support including reception, meeting and event support. * Program administration support. The Administration Support Officer can work under a hybrid arrangement, with 3 days in the office and 2 working from home (to be negotiated and subject to work demand).
