Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for an External Sales Rep. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the profitable sales of the company’s products by developing relationships with new and existing customers, providing quality service and information, selling on differentiation/ solutions and identifying areas for improvement and opportunities What you’ll do: Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs via regularly scheduled personal visits and email and telephone to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services provided by the company. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications. Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations. Negotiate prices and terms of sales within approved policy. Maintain customer records and sales calls, using automated systems such as SAP and the CRM tool. What you’ll bring: Minimum 3 - 5 years proven record of field sales achievement and profitable growth in a similar industry (manufacturing, metals, engineered products, construction materials) Experience with sales to wholesalers and direct to projects. Ability to sell on differentiation and solution selling. Within 3 months, you’ll: Complete your Atkore immersion program. Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy. Gain an understanding of your team. Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.
