We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Delivery Phase Services (DPS) team in Perth, Australia. The primary purpose is to support the Senior Project Engineers, Area Managers and Study/Project Managers by coordinating project deliverables and the required inputs in close collaboration with the technical leads, ensuring the scope of works, project cost, schedule, along with quality requirements and overall client objectives are met. With no more than 3 years of experience, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, aptitude, and application to make GHD a trusted partner in the consulting world. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Project Planning and Execution assistance in: Delivery of detailed project plans outlining management functions across HSE, scope, schedule, budget, resourcing and risk requirements Overseeing the day-to-day execution of work packages design, procurement and/or construction within a project Monitoring and reporting on project progress Technical Project Leadership assistance in: Making project and/or technical decisions and solutions by addressing technical queries (TQs) and responding to requests for information (RFIs) Overseeing design, and construction support activities with cross-functional teams across all phases of engineering projects Compiling and coordinating technical reports to clients, following both client and GHD guidelines Performing site inspections and prepare site surveillance reports, whilst undertaking site-based activities Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements; address concerns; manage expectations, scope, cost and schedule; and provide technical expertise Assist the Project Manager or Project Director in communicating project updates, technical milestones, and ensure client satisfaction Visit client sites to perform onsite duties as required. Team Collaboration: Be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and proactive management of project scope and resources Assist in coordinating and developing general engineering deliverables in collaboration with the project team including reports, cost estimates, schedules, scopes of work and plans Quality Assurance Implement and assist in quality control processes to ensure the technical integrity of project deliverables Assist in coordinating and contributing to reviews of engineering solutions to guarantee compliance with specifications and standards. What you will bring to the team: Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor’s degree qualifications in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical engineering) or related qualification 1 to 3 years’ relevant experience with knowledge in a project management or consulting environment Project management knowledge and experience (Qualifications not essential) Solid understanding of engineering principles, codes and standards Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and project teams.
