Sales & Product Manager — Beenleigh, Logan Area

Our client is a privately owned, Australian based manufacturer of landscaping related products that are used across a wide range of applications, including residential and commercial building projects, sports grounds & facilities, schools, parks and a wide range of other landscaping projects. The organisation prides themselves on producing high quality products that are well suited to the Australian market and are backed by research and development, and they support a network of preferred installers and specifiers. With a desire for continued expansion and growth, there is currently an exciting opportunity to join the company in the role of Sales Manager / Business Manager, focused on driving growth of a particular product line. The role Reporting to the General Manager, Sales & Marketing, this exciting role will oversee and manage the national distribution and growth of the company’s speciality product range. More specifically, you will be involved in the following; Drive product awareness and an understanding of product features and benefits to current and prospective clients; Developing and maintain relationships with a wide range of clients including contractors, landscape architects, schools and other end user groups; Identifying and developing strategies to expand into new channels and market segments; Developing engaging training material and video resources for clients to assist with installation processes; Regular travel to attend industry trade shows and to conduct customer visits; Acting as a subject matter, whilst training and supporting the companies field sales team on the specialty range; and Keeping up to date customer records and reporting to management. Necessary Skills / Experience Prior experience in a similar Sales Manager or Business Development type role, ideally within the building products or landscaping sector; Prior experience driving growth and developing new markets for a new product; Highly motivated and comfortable working in a team environment or independently; Strong communication skills (written and verbal), coupled with well-developed presentation and training skills Prior experience developing training resources and delivering training would be an advantage; Willingness to travel interstate 1-2 times per quarter; Strong relationship building skills with the ability to build trust; and Sound computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office and modern CRM’s.
