Woodleigh is currently seeking applications for a part time Primary Specialist Teacher Visual Art to be based at our Penbank Junior campus in Moorooduc. This is an ongoing part time position with an FTE of approximately 0.4-0.6. The Primary Specialist Teacher Visual Arts is responsible for the development and delivery of an engaging and innovative, inquiry-centred Visual Arts program for students at the campus. They will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and review of the Visual Arts curriculum. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum that includes both two- and three-dimensional artworks. Teach students to select, arrange, and make expressive choices using elements such as line, shape, form, texture, colour, and pattern. Guide students in discussing and responding to their own and others' artworks, including those from different times, cultures, and societies, with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. Encourage students to explore and express ideas, experiences, observations, and imagination through the design and creation of artworks. Provide a range of opportunities for students to explore creativity through various visual arts dimensions, techniques, and skills such as drawing, modelling, collage, ceramics, mixed media, painting, and printmaking.
