Role Detail Our award-winning Innovation team is responsible for the design and delivery of both the innovation and transformation strategies and portfolios for King & Wood Mallesons. Reporting to the Melbourne based Head of Innovation, with a focus on problem solving, generative AI, progress improvement, experimentation and consulting out into the business and with our clients’ legal operations teams, key responsibilities include: Capturing legal requirements from internal and external clients using Jobs to be Done, User Stories, and business process mapping techniques Analysing requirements to identify opportunities for existing LegalTech or repeatable legal processes to bring added value to legal activities Configuring No Code and Low Code solutions to meet client requirements for rapid deployment and meet engagement demands. Including Questionnaire/Form based apps, including calculations, document generation, and workflow automation Assuming ownership of various projects and initiatives as assigned Leading complex strategic projects involving significant uncertainty and ambiguity Developing project plans and ensuring these are delivered on time With flexibility to be based the Melbourne or Sydney CBD office, this role will work with the broader Innovation team to analyse client and legal team requirements, implement LegalTech, utilising low-code platforms and delivering bespoke client tools. About You With a consistent stream of work, and an increasing focus on LegalTech, AI (including Gen AI), and growing client and project demands, this role requires a professional with a unique blend of innovation expertise and business acumen. You will be proactive, entrepreneurial, action-oriented and curious. All of this underpinned with a one team, client centric approach. As we move into Innovation 2.0, the second generation of the innovation journey that will look at scaling and impact, to set you up for success you will also need: Experience implementing various legal technology solutions, including automation and AI-enabled tools Strong skills in implementing change and proven ability and passion about driving transformational cultural change Previous innovation or digital transformation experience A strong desire to work with new technologies, build knowledge and share with stakeholder communities Project management and time management skills.
