We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable male support worker to provide one-on-one support to a male participant living with a psychosocial disability in Slacks Creek . About the Role As a support worker, you will play a key role in assisting the participant through an important life transition, moving in with his wife. Your focus will be on creating a safe, consistent, and supportive environment that fosters emotional stability, builds healthy routines, and promotes greater independence. About You To succeed in this role, you must be confident, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering high-quality support for participants with complex behavioural needs. You will have: Experience supporting individuals with psychosocial disability and behavioural complexities. Strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. Excellent communication and de-escalation skills. Patience, empathy, and consistency in care delivery. Ability to work independently and maintain clear professional boundaries. _____________________________________________________ Roster Set Fortnightly Roster - please note this roster cannot be amended and all below shifts must be completed in full by the successful applicant . Additional hours are available with other clients if you are seeking more work. Casual - 25 hours per fortnight Week 1: Thursday 17:00pm to 9:00am (sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours Saturday 17:00pm to 10:00am (sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 9 hours Week 2: Thursday 17:00pm to 9:00am (sleepover 22:00pm to 6:00am) - 8 hours _____________________________________________________ Responsibilities Deliver structured and consistent support aligned with trauma-informed practices. Support emotional regulation, well-being, and independence. Promote healthy communication and relationship-building within the home environment. Respect and support the participant’s cultural identity, choices, and values. Ensure professional boundaries and clear communication at all times.
