We’re currently seeking a reliable and compassionate male support workers to provide one-on-one support to our two male participants living with a psychosocial disability in Slacks Creek . This role requires consistency, structure, and a trauma-informed approach to care. About the Role You will play a crucial role in supporting the participant to maintain independent living by creating a safe, stable, and supportive environment. You will promote emotional regulation, encourage healthy routines, and help build positive communication and relationship skills—while respecting the participant’s choices, cultural values, and autonomy. Key Responsibilities Deliver consistent, person-centred support tailored to the participant’s needs. Support emotional regulation using trauma-informed strategies. Promote daily routines, independence, and well-being. Encourage respectful communication and relationship building. Follow behavioural support plans and escalate concerns as required. Skilled in trauma-informed, person-centred care. Calm, consistent, and emotionally resilient. Strong communication and de-escalation skills. Committed to fostering independence and respectful relationships.
