At CSI, we work across departments with individuals ranging from Technical Support to Senior Directors of Engineering and one of our primary purposes is to investigate recurring issues under the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) process. This program serves Oracle at large by continually improving the effectiveness and efficiency of SaaS service delivery. In this role you'll encounter multifaceted duties and responsibilities ranging from customer-facing non-technical communication to technical problem-solving and trend mapping. We love people who can come into the team and point out things we haven't considered, who are independent, proactive problem-solvers but still thrive in team environments. Key Responsibilities - Own communication regarding customer-facing critical issues in production environments - Use CSI toolset to summarize, understand, call out, and learn from customer-impacting issues (some of the tools we use include Jira, ELK, Splunk, Confluence, Slack, Python scripting, and Excel) - Conduct timely in-geo postmortems and audits on events impacting customers. - Identify areas for improvement in processes, procedures, and monitoring. - Work closely with engineers building the product to mitigate future or recurring issues. - Manage projects addressing long term, permanent resolutions for major issues. - Maintain and add to team documentation. About You - 2024 Graduates in Bachelors/Masters [Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field] - Available to start with us in June/July 2025 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Good conflict resolution skills with the ability to participate in productive, outcome-focused meetings. - Analytical mindset and troubleshooting capabilities, with an organised approach to problem-solving. - Motivation to work quickly and accurately under pressure in time-critical crises. - Australian Citizen or Permanent Residents only Desirable Skills - Completion of coursework, projects, internships, or research in any of the following areas: - Data analysis experience with Excel, ELK/Kibana, and/or Splunk. - Database knowledge (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL such as Cassandra or Redis) and/or OCI. - Experience with Unix or Linux operating environments, data centres, and networking - Familiarity with service improvement methodologies like Agile, Six Sigma, or ITIL - Fundamental knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby or similar Location : North Ryde - Sydney (Hybrid) Our group is global with members in Austin, TX, USA; Brno, Czech Republic; Guadalajara, Mexico; Manila, Philippines; and Sydney, Australia.
