ConsultANZ is seeking a highly skilled Structures Design Manager to lead the structural design for a major infrastructure project in New Zealand. This senior role requires extensive experience in managing complex structural design projects, with a strong focus on cost, program, and risk management. FIFO options available. Main Duties Lead and manage the design of major structural assets including bridges, underpasses, and utility protection structures Ensure design solutions meet cost, program, and risk requirements across all phases of the PPP project Coordinate with internal teams, external designers, and stakeholders to ensure timely, practical, and compliant structural designs Drive value engineering, constructability assessments, and technical problem-solving Ensure alignment with PPP contract requirements and delivery milestones Support procurement and construction teams with design input and technical guidance Lead design reviews, interface management, and approvals processes Requirements Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline) 10 years of experience in structural design and/or design management Strong experience delivering complex infrastructure structures such as bridges and underpasses Ideally from a main contractor background, but candidates with strong consultancy experience will also be considered Proven ability to manage design with focus on cost, schedule (program), and risk Experience with PPP (Public-Private Partnership), Design and Construct, and Build and Design contracts Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills Benefits Attractive salary package commensurate with experience Be part of a top-tier team delivering complex civil infrastructure FIFO options available for the right candidate Thrive in a supportive, collaborative, and high-performance environment APPLY NOW If interested, email [email protected] or [email protected] to hear more about this role.
