The Client SAFA Management Pty Ltd is a locally-owned business, 'Thunderbird Chickens', located in Dapto in NSW. Due to a manpower need, they require a full time Retail Manager to join their team. The Role The Retail Manager is responsible for leading all operations and functions of the retail operations. This rare opportunity will see you take charge and lead by example as you manage and lead the team, and capitalise on business opportunities to grow the business. This role is a full-time position with an annual salary set at $75,000 plus superannuation. Responsibilities Providing excellent customer service by offering menu items and recommendations, while guiding guests on dish selection and enhancing their dining experience Analyze and optimize the product mix to align with customer preferences, seasonal trends, and inventory capabilities, ensuring a balance between profitability and customer satisfaction. Flawlessly implementing the store promotional plans including any seasonal marketing strategies to boost sales Ensure store and staff compliance with company and legislative employment as well as health and safety requirements. Overseeing all aspects of store operations, including food management, staff scheduling and cash handling, with full accountability for meeting operational standards and goals. Keep track of inventory and make sure ingredients and products are restocked as needed to keep things running smoothly Monitor and record incoming and outgoing business expenses to ensure the store meets financial targets and stays within operational budgets. Managing the overall image and standards of the store, including implementation and adherence to Thunderbird's policies and procedures by all team members Plan and oversee visual displays within the store to ensure they are engaging, on-brand, and maximize customer interest and sales. Motivating and leading the team to connect with customers and provide an amazing and engaging customer service experience Driving sales to meet targets while managing costs effectively, including wages and minimizing loss, through a strong focus on KPIs, operational efficiency, and strategies to prevent shrinkage. Recruiting, training and retaining team members to create a fun, collaborative and success focused culture Requirements A Relevant AQF Diploma or higher qualification in relevant field Minimum 1 year' experience in commercial retail management at a Managerial level Minimum of 1 year' people management experience Minimum of 1 year' in managing inventory and stock levels Minimum of 1 year experience in using retail management systems, POS systems, and stock management software Strong operational management background Ability to embrace change at a store level and instil a culture of excitement Demonstrated VM / volume stock management abilities Passion for driving customer service Good time management and attention to detail
