About the Centre/Service Lady Forster Kindergarten (LFK) is a two-room community-managed, not-for-profit kindergarten located right on the foreshore of Elwood Beach. We celebrated our Centenary in 2024 - 100 years of educating children with a proud history of connection with the local community and our enrolments are always at capacity. The kindergarten has just been rated as 'Exceeding' for the third cycle of assessment. Nearly a decade of this consistent rating with the last two cycles rated as Exceeding across all seven Quality Areas - a stable and high-quality kindergarten service with an outstanding reputation. Description We are a busy community kindergarten looking for part-time Diploma Qualified Educator to add to our wonderful staffing team who will work in our Extended Hours Kindergarten Program (3YO/4YO) and our Holiday Programs (for children aged 3-7 years) between each of the three term breaks. This is a permanent, part-time role. We are seeking a mature and experienced candidate who is adaptable and flexible, preferably with strong leadership experience. This role is generally from 10 am to 6 pm daily, but flexibility to cover staff absence within our operating hours of 7.30-6.00 is appreciated. The candidate will have a strong leadership background and experience and able to manage the room at the closing end of the day and lead other members of the team from 3 pm. We have a small cohesive team who support one another and would love to find someone just as passionate and dedicated. In the past, this role has been a good starting point for a beginning teacher who is not ready to take on an "in-charge role", but would like to learn in a supportive kindergarten environment.
