Graphic Designer (6-month FTC) — North Sydney, North Sydney Area

The Role We currently have an opportunity to join our Brand and Marketing team as a Graphic Designer in a 6-month fixed term contract position. This opportunity is open to work from our North Sydney office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options. As a Graphic Designer, you will be a part of a team of Graphic Designers who are visual problem solvers and come up with creative solutions on time and on budget which address both our digital and printed marketing platforms, while working closely with our stakeholders and team members from various sectors across our business. You will have expertise in brand guidelines and creating visual assets for websites and marketing collateral. You excel in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the creative team, staying updated with design technologies, and pushing the brand within guidelines. Skilled in agile sprints, you prioritize work effectively and ensure all final work is uploaded to the DAM system. Your strengths in typography, aesthetics, and attention to detail ensure high-quality, timely deliveries. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain consistent visual identity across all branded materials, including interactive forms, letters, flyers, infographics, PDS documents, email templates, PowerPoint presentations and other internal communication pieces, adhering strictly to brand guidelines. Become a subject matter expert on the brand guidelines Demonstrate a strong eye for detail and meticulous execution to ensure brand cohesion and a positive user experience. Possess a creative problem-solving mindset to find innovative solutions within established brand parameters. Collaborate effectively with the Brand and Content Strategy Manager, brand team and other stakeholders to understand project goals and translate them into impactful visual elements. Proficient in industry-standard design software applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite. Creation and rollout of a wide range of visual branded assets – logos, illustrations, pictograms, icons, digital assets for various platforms including websites, landing pages, Facebook and LinkedIn. Preparing finished art adhering to provided specifications and managing communication with external suppliers and stakeholders. Ensure continuity of work by uploading all final files to the DAM for access by other designers or agencies. About you Graphic design degree or equivalent Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a designer in a similar role Excellent communications skills demonstrated by your ability to manage internal team and stakeholder expectations when leading projects Portfolio of completed complimentary design projects Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign) and Creative Cloud Ability to collaborate well in a team Demonstrable graphic design skills Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Able to give and receive constructive feedback Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
