Visit www.paragonce.com for further information. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our Mackay-based team. The role requires practical experience in civil infrastructure design, civil construction oversight, and use of relevant engineering software tools. Key Responsibilities Prepare and modify civil design plans for drainage, roads, subdivisions, and retaining walls using engineering software. Assist in writing engineering reports, technical specifications, and project documentation. Develop and check Bills of Quantities and cost estimates. Contribute to traffic studies and prepare Traffic Impact Assessments. Provide contract administration support aligned with AS4000. Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies authorities and other interested parties. Preparing cost estimates and engineering reports Ensure documentation and design work complies with PCE’s Quality Management and WHS policies. Skills & Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 2 years of relevant civil design and site engineering experience. Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications Preparing detailed engineering plans and drawings Basic knowledge of engineering software tools such as 12D and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Australian Standards, local council requirements, and WHS compliance. Strong communication and reporting skills. Desirable Qualifications Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Construction Safety Card and WH&S and ISO 9001 accreditations Site and safety inspection experience. Knowledge of ISO systems. Standard 11 – Surface Coal Mine Safety Induction.
