Position Description: As a Child Care Worker at Miracles on Russell, you will play a vital role in the development, well-being, and safety of children in our care. This position involves working with children of various age groups, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Provide direct care and supervision to children in a group setting. Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. Ensure a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Assist with daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and toileting. Encourage positive behaviours and provide guidance in conflict resolution. Monitor children’s progress and report any concerns to parents or supervisors. Build trusting relationships with children and families to foster a supportive and welcoming environment. Support children in developing social, cognitive, and motor skills. Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain compliance with childcare licensing standards. Qualifications & Requirements: Certificate III in childcare or related 1 – 2 years of experience working with children. Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff. Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations, demonstrating understanding and empathy toward children. Ability to address conflicts and behavioural issues effectively. Works well in a collaborative team environment to meet the needs of children and families. Creativity in planning and leading engaging, fun, and educational activities for children of various ages. Salary: $70.000 – $80.000 p.a. plus superannuation superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
