More About the Role at BDO Australia About the Role The BDO Deal Advisory team is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join their Origination Team focussing on lead generation and new to business relationships across the mid-market. - Opportunity to join the largest Mid-Market focused Accounting and Consulting firm - Fast-growing Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team with notable success - Suited to an individual with a growth mindset, financially trained and thrives in a high performing work environment. About BDO M&A: - Part of the broader BDO international network with 100,000 employees worldwide and 2,500 corporate finance professionals - Mid-Market M&A Financial Adviser of the Year finalist (2024) – Australia (Mergermarket) - No 1 Most active M&A Advisor globally by deal count (2023) (Pitchbook) This role will support our Deal Advisory team by taking a direct sales approach to uncovering new business leads through the following day-to-day responsibilities: - Executing sales and business development activities with senior business leaders and private equity fund managers - Researching, identifying and qualifying industry sectors that possess positive M&A thematic - Assisting in improving and maintaining CRM data integrity - Attend relevant industry events, networking opportunities and conferences - Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to BDO key stakeholders and senior management About you To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience should include: - You will demonstrate a high level of initiative and pro-activity in all aspects of your approach - Experience in a high performing sales role - A "hunting" mindset with the ability to drive leads independently - Strong cold calling ability and high emotional intelligence - Experience in Corporate Business Development and Relationship Management - Proven problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills and resilience - Organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload - An interest in the M&A market and business deal transactions - Willingness to join a high performing team environment with collaborative team culture If you don’t think you're a perfect fit, you should still sign up to Hatch and create a profile, we'll match you to other roles that suit your profile.
