PQE Partners are partnering with a high-profile property development client seeking a Legal Counsel to join their close-knit legal team. Key Responsibilities As Legal Counsel, you will act as a key advisor to the business, supporting commercial transactions and risk management across a range of areas, including: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts relating to construction, real estate development, project funding and joint ventures Advising on development finance, including lending arrangements, securities and funding structures Supporting deal execution – helping to structure deals, manage risks, and facilitate settlements Working collaboratively with internal teams and liaising with external counsel Providing advice on commercial disputes, primarily pre-litigation and risk mitigation Supporting corporate compliance, governance, and legal documentation processes About You You will ideally have: 3–5 years’ PQE, admitted to practise in NSW Previous in-house experience at a property developer or construction company is highly regarded Alternatively, experience gained in private practice in construction law, real estate development, or development finance A strong commercial mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities across complex transactions A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and an interest in how legal advice supports commercial outcomes Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative working style What’s On Offer You’ll have the opportunity to work across complex, high-value transactions and play a key role in the continued growth of a leading property developer.
