Database Administrator Team Lead — Sydney, Sydney Region

Description Your new role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administration Team Lead to join our team. This role is critical in developing robust architectures, innovative solutions and delivering operational support for our enterprise database systems. As Team Lead, you will provide technical leadership and work closely with a team of specialist database administrators across a range of technologies, including MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and DB2. You will bring deep expertise in MS SQL Server operations and support, while contributing to the alignment of database technologies with broader enterprise strategies across a hybrid computing environment. A strong focus on delivering effective business outcomes and maintaining a security-first approach is essential. Collaboration with other technology teams will be key to ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing database services. Key Responsibilities Expertise in MS SQL Server operations and support, with broad knowledge across multiple RDBMS and NoSQL platforms Experience in leading database administration teams within enterprise environments Strong understanding of cloud-based database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) Proficient in performance tuning, clustering, automation and high-availability configurations Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills Commitment to security best practices and continuous improvement We are open to candidates across Australia who meet the hiring criteria below.
