About the Opportunity Resource Recovery Centre Operators work within our Waste and Resource Recovery Operations team to operate and maintain the four Resource Recovery Centres in our Shire. The team provide high quality customer service and ensure our sites are compliant with relevant legislation and standards. We pride ourselves on delivering progressive resource recovery services and providing a benchmark for other councils. We are committed to sustainability and require staff with exceptional customer service skills along with passion and dedication. This role is a casual opportunity. Hourly rate begins at $43.72 (Band 3) plus superannuation. About You We’re looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has experience in a customer service role and has an understanding of waste and resource recovery principles. As a valued team member of our Waste and Resource Recovery Operations team, the ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, the ability to follow work instructions and work well within a team. You will be the first point of contact for all our customers and represent Mitchell Shire Council in a professional and courteous manner with exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for directing customers through our facilities and must be available to work on weekends. You will also have cash handling and computer experience. Experience operating light machinery (backhoe and forklift) with relevant licence (certification) is desirable, but training can be provided to successful applicants without the necessary certifications.
