About the role This role will require you to: Oversee user account creation, deactivation, and access management, including roles, profiles and permissions. Resolve user support tickets, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure smooth operation of Salesforce platforms. Facilitate system changes and improvements by advising on change requests, implementing configuration changes, and reviewing changes made by other administrators and developers to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Perform straightforward Salesforce configuration changes, including adjustments to flows, approval processes, fields, page layouts. Perform proactive system maintenance including security reviews, release updates and health checks, in collaboration with VIT's support partner and the Business Systems Manager. Monitor system performance and usage metrics to identify any issues proactively, and communicate platform outages and changes to VIT staff users. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, process and changes, including developing training materials to improve Salesforce utilisation across the organisation. Actively collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities. Administer integrations with third-party applications and Salesforce add-ons including Marketing Cloud, MuleSoft and Own, in collaboration with VIT's support partner. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of Salesforce data through regular audits and identification of opportunities to align to best practices. Contribute to the implementation of the ICT strategic plan. Perform other tasks as directed by the Business Systems Manager. About you As an experienced Salesforce administrator you will have sound and practical knowledge of current Salesforce technologies and best practices. You will have experience in maintaining and improving all aspects of an organisation's Salesforce environment, and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector. You will have strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs, combined with a highly organised approach and a proven track record and certifications as a Salesforce administrator. In addition to this, as the successful candidate, you will have: Critical thinking and problem solving skills A high level of digital and technological literacy An ability to adapt systems and processes quickly to changed priorities and situations A passion for innovation and continuous improvement An ability to understand systems thinking to understand the impact of particular courses of action more broadly Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator certification (required) - additional administrator and/or developer certifications in Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and/or MuleSoft are preferred Experience as a Salesforce administrator including demonstrated proficiency in Service Cloud, flows, formula fields and security settings such as roles, profiles and permissions. Bachelor/postgraduate degree in computer science, information systems or a related field is preferred.
