UQ Business School in the Business, Economics and Law Faculty Full-time (100%), permanent position with a high performing team Base salary will be in the range $113,377.67 - $127,112.24 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8) Based at our vibrant St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity As Manager, Program Administration, you will manage the Business School’s Program administration requirements and with the Senior Manager, Student and Academic Administration support the implementation of School priorities relating to student and academic administration. You will perform a wide range of business management activities which include developing and sustaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders; delivering high-quality business development and support services; supporting operations and initiatives associated with governance processes. Key responsibilities will include: Lead and manage a large functional unit with a complex set of functions in accordance with ‘Manager’ level of UQ’s Leadership framework. Provide high-level strategic support and advice to the School’s Teaching and Learning portfolio requiring integration of a range of university policies and external requirements, and an ability to achieve objectives operating within complex organisational structures. Provide senior administrative support and advice on all matters pertaining to student and academic administration, including in relation to program development and reviews. Build and maintain on-going relationships with key internal and external stakeholders through consultation and engagement as required, in order to establish and deliver strategic priorities, and objectives. Develop and implement business improvement initiatives focused on providing high quality and streamlined student engagement and recruitment services. Lead, demonstrate and promote compliance with UQ policies and procedures, governance protocols, and risk management frameworks, as well as any legislative requirements. Act as the Senior Manager, Student and Academic Administration as required. Highly developed interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to build both internal and external relationships and networks with key stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, review and continuous improvement of business systems and processes to deliver operational efficiencies. Proven experience in the delivery of high-quality student and academic administration in a higher education setting. Demonstrated ability to work iteratively, adapting quickly to change and operating effectively both on an autonomous basis and as a member of a collaborative, client-focused team. A demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing team of administrative professionals in a role of similar size and scope. Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
