About the Centre/Service Greythorn Early Childhood Centre is a community-based non-profit organisation with a parent management committee, offering 3yo & 4yo funded Kindergarten programs as well as Long Day Care and Occasional Care services. We cater up to 91 children each day across 6 rooms. With a history of serving the local community for over 28 years, GreythornECC is situated in one of Melbourne’s highly sought after areas in the Eastern Suburbs of Balwyn North. Our purpose-built centre provides safe and stimulating environments where children can thrive and reach their full potential. Description Position Details: GreythornECC are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our 3yo Kinder Room. This position will commence in Term 2 and is initially offered as a part-time role, 2 days a week: Thursdays 830am-430pm and Fridays 930am-530pm. Each day includes 5 hours of face-to-face teaching and 2.5 hours of non-contact time. There is the potential for this role to expand to 3 days per week from July: same 2 days listed above Wednesdays 930am-530pm. Collaborate with a fellow full-time Kinder Teachers as well as 2 other Diploma qualified educator to support the room. Observe and document children’s development and progress. Work alongside your team to implement educational programs in accordance with service philosophy and children’s and family’s needs. Sustain positive and respectful relationships with children and families. Access and use of state of the art technology (iPad’s, Microsoft Surfaces and Portable Smart TV) to support you in delivering an excelled program and communication with families. Essential criteria and qualification required: Minimum Bachelor of Early Childhood Degree or equivalent recognised by ACECQA Hold a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching registration Sound knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework Sound written and verbal communication skills High work ethic, passion, and motivation for early childhood education and care
