As Southeast Queensland’s only co-educational primary Grammar school, Ipswich Junior Grammar provides a high quality, non-denominational education for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. It shares a campus with Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School, which caters for girls only from Years 7 to 12, with boarding available from Year 5. To support the Junior School’s ever-changing needs, we are now welcoming Expression of Interest from passionate and enthusiastic Teacher Aides who are looking to join our dedicated and vibrant learning community. We are seeking interest from candidates looking for full-time, part-time or casual hours. The successful applicants will work as part of an energetic team committed to excellence and will provide aid to teachers in the preparation and delivery of teaching and learning programs within the Junior School. This is a busy role within the Junior School so your excellent organisational skills and ability to be flexible and to work effectively as a member of a group is essential. WHAT YOU WILL BRING To be successful in this role, you will have a willingness to support the values and aims of the School, and the ability to: Assist in the implementation of current work programs in the classroom and willingness to participate in review and improvement of current programs. Develop effective working relationships and rapport with students. Develop confidence and self-esteem in students and to act as a role model in presentation, action, and communication. Use a wide range of strategies to cater for diverse student needs and to effectively monitor student progress. Work collaboratively with colleagues and to communicate effectively with students, parents, and all school personnel. Work in Australia with Tertiary qualifications at certificate level or equivalent qualifications relevant to the position may be required or such knowledge, qualifications and experience that are deemed by the School as necessary to successfully carry out the duties of the position.
