ConsultANZ is looking for a Piling Design & Estimating Engineer to join a prominent piling and deep foundations company in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, contribute to innovative construction projects, and play an integral role in project planning and cost estimation. Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Collaborating with the operations team to ensure design requirements align with project objectives. Developing piling and deep foundation designs based on soil conditions and project specifications. Analyzing geotechnical reports to identify the most appropriate piling solutions. Preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Proposing cost-effective and efficient design solutions, ensuring structural integrity and safety. Conducting site investigations and utilizing design software such as Wallap, Piglet, and Plaxis. Creating and updating Excel templates for cost estimation and project planning. Designing and estimating various piling techniques and retaining wall solutions. Reporting directly to the Pre-Contracts Manager. What You’ll Need: The ideal candidate will have: A tertiary qualification in engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Experience working with leading contractors or major design firms. Proficiency in MS Office, Wallap, Piglet, and ideally Plaxis 2D/3D or similar design tools. Strong skills in cost estimation and budget management. Excellent communication abilities and a practical, hands-on approach to projects. Capability to effectively engage with both clients and internal stakeholders.
