About the Team As a member of our construction team, you'll be part of a dynamic and dedicated group that thrives on delivering outstanding results in the field of construction law. Collaborating with industry-renowned lawyers and professionals, you will contribute to shaping the built environment while navigating complex legal challenges. About the Role We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate (1-6 PQE) with experience in construction disputes to join our team in our Brisbane office. Drawing upon your extensive legal expertise, you will lead complex matters, provide strategic counsel, and oversee intricate negotiations, all while mentoring and guiding junior team members. You will be a self-starter, take pride in your work, and be happy to get in and get the work done. About You You obviously have plenty of technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, but there is much more to you. You: deliver legal advice with a commercial and client focused outlook, always; work well under pressure, meet your deadlines and excel working in a team; have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and you aren't afraid to use them, internally and externally; take a collaborative, positive and energetic approach to everything you do; are comfortable and experienced mentoring and training junior lawyers; and have 1-6 years of construction litigation experience gained in a private practice environment Working at JWS We value collaboration and our teams work together to achieve shared outcomes.
