Sydney location From $147,074 - $162,634 (depending on experience) 15.4% superannuation 18 month fixed term contract Applications close at 11:59pm AEST, 28 April 2025 The team ASIC's Digital team, part of the Digital, Data & Technology Office, includes Regulatory Systems and the Human Centred Design (HCD) Hub. The HCD Hub collaborates with product owners, project managers, and business teams to design seamless, user-friendly technology, processes, and policies. The role As the Lead Service Designer, you will guide the team to deliver high-quality design outcomes aligned with project objectives. You'll define effective, pragmatic approaches that meet stakeholder needs, business goals, technical feasibility, and financial viability. With deep expertise in Human Centred Design, you will oversee the entire design process, ensuring smooth execution across core teams and stakeholders. You'll craft end-to-end service experiences, analysing user behaviours, conducting research, mapping journeys, facilitating co-creation, designing and testing prototypes, and leading collaborative projects. You will become part of a team that is passionate about providing high quality internal service to our stakeholders and collaboration partners & creating solutions with and for users, people and businesses in mind. You will be accountable for: Shaping program direction, advocating for users, and leveraging data-driven insights. Managing both designers and non-designers. Leading design from concept to completion, applying human-centred methodology. Defining scope, approach, and outcomes, drawing inspiration from best practices. Staying informed on data, insights, and project decisions, adapting as needed. Ensuring timely, efficient project delivery within budget. Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. Applying creative and analytical problem-solving skills. Bringing concepts to life through exceptional visual thinking. Supporting ASIC's Foundation Design System development. Navigating ambiguity with structured problem-solving. Adapting quickly to changes and thinking on your feet. About you A strong candidate should have: 7–10 years in experience design across diverse environments Bachelor/Master of Design or equivalent (preferred but not required) Proven ability to bring concepts to market Expertise in HCD methodology with a passion for problem-solving Leadership experience in complex design programs Ability to integrate technical, professional, and policy guidance in design Innovative approach to design techniques and problem-solving Strong communication and influencing skills for user-led solutions Ability to lead research, discussions, and conceptual design development Experience fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing Adaptive problem-solving and continuous process improvement Strategic thinking to guide portfolios and programs effectively View the position description for more information or click ‘apply' to start your application.
