Due to the growth of their business, our client is looking for a talented Claims Assessor (Retail) to manage a Portfolio of TPD (majority) and IP Claims. It's a business which is growing and has a strong reputation on the market for robust and fair claims management and a strong, experienced leadership team. Responsibilties: To provide a personal and empathetic service to all Life Customers and be responsible for the proficient management, and assessment of all Life Claims within the stated authority limits. To assist the Claims Team as a whole with managing workflow Assess and manage claims within set authority limits Assist with data for claims reporting Claims general customer service enquiries System testing as required Claims process improvement Internal Stakeholders Claimants Advisers Reinsurers Rehab consultants Strategic Specialists Forensic Accountant Chief Medical Officer Investigators Police and Coroners Claims Assessors Claims Administration team Operations Life Claims Committee Actuarial Finance Product Legal Underwriting Distribution Compliance To be successful in this role, you really need proven experience in a similar role in life insurance and demonstrated dedication to service and operational excellence. Knowledge of relevant legislation and governing principles is also needed as you will manage a variety of claims (some high value). It's a split WFH culture with 3 days in office and they encourage 4 days in during the training period and whilst getting to know the team.
