Contract till 3rd October 2025 with possible extension Attractive daily pay rate of $750 - $850 per day plus super Hybrid working (2 -3 days in Paramatta office WFH) Opportunity to work on an high impact and critical project PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: You will be supporting enhancements for an award winning and critical digital product aimed to provide an easy, trusted way to find information for everyone living in NSW. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: UI Design & Prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, intuitiveness. Interactive UI Development: Convert design mock-ups into functional, visually engaging web interfaces that enhance user interaction. User Experience Enhancement: Optimise performance across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices while conducting thorough usability testing to validate functionality. Responsive Code Implementation: Build dynamic, mobile-friendly web experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap (or similar) to ensure efficiency and scalability. User Research & Insights: Analyse user behaviour, pain points, and requirements to drive data-informed design decisions using HCD principles. User Flow & Persona Development: Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to enhance navigation and interaction. Cross-Browser Testing: Ensure a seamless and consistent experience across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and other major browsers through rigorous testing. Usability Testing and Optimisation: Conduct A/B testing, usability studies, and user interviews to refine and improve digital experiences. Work closely with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to create cohesive, intuitive user experiences. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine site structure and ensure compliance with WCAG standards for accessibility and inclusivity. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Extensive experience in UX/UI within digital environments. Experience delivering designs that are not only visually appealing and user friendly but balance custom development and OOTB functionality. Highly skilled in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to prepare custom style contents. Proficient in the use of Figma. Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA is highly desirable.
