Your New Role Reporting to the Special Counsel (Employment), you will be a trusted advisor to AustralianSuper’s Colleague & Culture group with a focus on ensuring that employment and workplace relations risks are recognised, understood and mitigated. You will work on a broad range of matters including: Providing high quality, strategic and commercially focused legal advice on managing performance, conduct and capacity; terminations; workplace complaints and investigations; legislative compliance; restructuring; employee engagements / contracts, industrial disputes and enterprise agreement negotiations. Providing interpretation advice on employment laws, enterprise agreements and contracts. Assist with the review and development of policies, procedures and precedents. Monitor and analyse relevant legislative, policy and case law developments and provide associated legal advice and practical support to stakeholders. Assisting with the management and resolution of employment-related disputes and litigation. What You’ll Need Minimum of 4 years’ post qualification experience (PQE). Background in, and a passion for, employment and workplace relations law. Superior organisational skills and ability to prioritise and concurrently manage a range of matters. Superior stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent drafting and written and verbal communication skills. Well-developed negotiation skills. Ability to work co-operatively in a dynamic team.
