Description City of Parramatta have an exciting opportunity working as a Casual Customer Service Officer at Phive PHIVE is a five level, Council owned and operated, flagship community, cultural and civic facility, housing Council’s city branch library, Council Chambers (seat of government), community meeting rooms, Aboriginal Cultural Materials Keeping Place (Keeping Place), café , and a suite of flexible programmable community spaces. Opened in September 2022, We provide a unique opportunity for you to join with the City of Parramatta in setting a new benchmark for customer service delivery excellence for our community while working as part of a new dynamic team in an iconic, smart, environmentally sensitive, architecturally designed building that will be the jewel of Parramatta Square. PHIVE will be a 7-day operation offering a wide range of unique experiences to everyone who lives, works, studies, visits and plays in our City. About the Role: As the Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences to achieve Council’s strategic objectives and vision for the City of Parramatta. Key Responsibilities: Proactively deliver core and customer service competencies for PHIVE as part of the Customer Experience Team. Proactively encourage, educate and support customers to transition to online channels to complete Council transactions. Facilitate cashless customer payment transactions in accordance with Council’s policies and procedures to ensure the accurate and secure transfer of payments. Maintain and actively participate in key customer service projects and initiatives. Follow and guide others to comply with policies, processes, systems and workflows to maintain the safety and security of the public. About You We are looking for someone with: Tertiary Qualification in customer service, administration, business or a related discipline. Ability to communicate, negotiate, build relationships and influence others with an engaging approach and technique Strong planning, organisation and time management skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong conflict resolution skills, with a focus on de-escalation and win-win outcomes Strong decision-making capability, including confidence in working with the public, your team members and with management. Minimum 2 years operational, community or retail customer service experience with a proven track record of achieving objectives and measurable goals Experience in processing a variety of transactions with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrable understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the designated service role and the ability to practically apply this knowledge Computer literacy through accurate data entry, recording of information and experience with a variety of software applications. What’s on offer Casual position. Days and hours are based on Business and Operational requirements. Candidates are required to be flexible to work additional days/ hours when required. We are offering an attractive hourly rate of $41.57 plus 25% casual loading.
