The Role Base Location: Grafton , NSW (some travel required across multiple sites) Employment: Casual Remuneration: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 2, $33.41 per hour. Disability Support Workers have the privilege of working alongside people every day to ensure they are living a full and active life both in the community and in their home. Essential Requirements of the role: Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting High level of resilience and emotional intelligence Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication, particularly being able to use active listening skills Undergo a satisfactory background check including NDIS Workers Check and/or Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Hold a current driver's licence (minimum P2) Flexible to travel from time to time to support your team and your participants Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR (HLTAID011) Have personal mobile device that meets our system requirements (i.e. for Apple: iPhone 7 or later; for Android: devices released in the last three years) Certificate III in Disability Services (desirable) Right to work in Australia Comprehensive Car Insurance and Motor Vehicle Registration Must be able to do personal care duties and manual handling tasks Must be available weekends Culture and Benefits Ability Options is a value driven organisation where the people we support are at the centre of everything we do.
