Whatever your business needs, we're here to provide everything to help you succeed. We are currently looking for an experienced Retail Buyer to join our team in Southbank. Tasks, duties and responsibilities include: Analysing sales data and industry reports to anticipate consumer trends to identify potential products to stock. Collaborating with management on long-term planning and the execution of sales promotions, compiles and structured product range data for the annual catalogues production. Conducts market research and generate insights into new product and category opportunities for the Office Choice membership, including analysis of market size, trends, suppliers, sales performance, competitors, potential barriers, and market share expansion strategies. Create promotional marketing briefs for key category drivers in accordance with the marketing plans and delivers cost-saving initiatives and improved operational efficiencies in line with Office Choice's business objectives. Develops and maintains strong, productive relationships with suppliers, including strategic plans based on seasonal and budgetary considerations. Establishes competitive market pricing for core business operations and promotional periods and fosters long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers to ensure sustainable business growth. Identifies and pursues new category opportunities to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability for Office Choice members. Manages product offerings to align with the 12-month marketing plan, incorporating key supplier promotions and the submission and creation of new products, ensuring the continuous update and maintenance of existing product information, including pricing, status, costs, descriptions, images, and metadata. Negotiates annual trading terms aligned with Office Choice's corporate goals and strategic direction, whilst reviewing marketing materials, including promotions, flyers, brochures, website content, and catalogues. Supplies product data and images to the Marketing team and serves as a liaison between marketing and suppliers. To be considered for this position, you will need to have a relevant AQF Certificate III including at least one year of full-time relevant employment experience or at least three years of full-time relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
