The School of Humanities and Social Sciences places high emphasis on research that makes a difference and is solution-led. We work closely with industry partners and the government to put findings into practice. The Associate Teaching Fellow will support course teams within the School by developing and delivering teaching and learning activities that foster high-quality student engagement and enhance the overall learning experience. In addition, the Associate Teaching Fellow will contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning by incorporating innovative educational practices and technologies, thereby promoting excellence in teaching. The incumbent will primarily focus on teaching and learning and associated service tasks. As an Associate Teaching Fellow, you will: Deliver effective teaching practices and contribute ideas to enhance student learning experiences and engagement. Assist in applying industry, clinical or research practice into student learning and engagement. Support curriculum design and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels and delivery modes. Maintain deep discipline and/or industry/professional knowledge that is applied to curriculum delivery and maintaining quality standards in education. Facilitate collaborative learning opportunities and provide academic support to foster student success. To be successful, you’ll have: A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or a combination of qualification and experience. Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a collegial work environment. Demonstrated capacity and passion for teaching and facilitation of student learning. Recent experience teaching adults in a tertiary setting and understanding their learning needs. Demonstrated capacity to provide academic support and guidance to students, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning environment.
