Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide vital care and assistance to individuals with disabilities—supporting them with daily living activities, personal care needs, and community participation. We're looking for someone who is empathetic, patient, and driven by a deep commitment to human dignity and inclusion. Key Responsibilities: Deliver personal care services including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing Support safe mobility and transfers using appropriate assistive equipment Assist with domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and community activities Administer medication as per care plans and relevant healthcare protocols Record client progress and communicate any changes to appropriate professionals Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and support networks to implement individual care plans Encourage and promote skill development and independent living Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards Provide emotional and psychosocial support to clients and their families Skills and Experience Required: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related qualification Minimum of 1 year of experience in disability support, aged care, or a related setting Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and person-centered care approach Current First Aid and CPR certification National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Valid Australian Driver’s License (preferred) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for others Why Join Us?
