UQ Art Museum Casual position with an hourly rate in the range of $39.43 to $41.01, plus superannuation of 11% (HEW Level 1) Based at St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity The Ashby Utting Arts Marketing & Engagement Internship is designed to support students interested in art museum business operations. This year, the internship will feature opportunities to work across marketing, event management and visitor engagement. As the Ashby Utting Intern you will gain a broad range of experience assisting with UQ Art Museum business operations. The position would suit a student who has completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree in Business or Art History in combination with studies in Business. Preference will be given to students studying marketing, hospitality management, or tourism and event management who are also studying Art History. Applications from students studying other areas of business and general studies in humanities will also be considered. Under direction and supervision, you will perform a range of duties that may include, but are not limited to: Providing administration support for the Engagement team including monitoring visitor numbers, collating visitor feedback, and preparing reports Assisting with event planning and set-up, including preparing and distributing documentation, preparing and packing down event spaces, and providing administrative support for the UQAM Venue Hire program Assisting with marketing activities, including updating marketing plans, providing support for digital marketing activities, and supporting on-campus marketing and engagement initiatives such as Market Day and UQ Staff Expo Undertaking front-of-house duties including greeting visitors, processing merchandise sales, and assisting visitors with exhibition information Assist the Engagement team where necessary. A desire to gain knowledge and skills relevant to art museum practice and not-for-profit business operations.
