School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Full-time, continuing position Base salary will range from $74,534 - $79,026 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 4) Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and organised Administration Assistant (known locally as a Student and Academic Support Assistant) to join our world-class School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. You will be involved in a range of administrative support activities for student and academic administration. Your job will contribute directly to a high-quality student experience. You will provide high quality customer service through the delivery of friendly, helpful, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff. You will be joining a high-performing, supportive team who were nominated for a teamwork award within their faculty in 2024 due to their demonstrated collegiality and outstanding service. Key responsibilities will include: Contribution to main reception functions such as managing the borrowing of school equipment by staff and students. General office duties including maintaining teaching supplies, stationery supplies, photocopying and collation of exam materials. Processing student applications for overseas professional registration. Administering security swipe card access for students in School specialist rooms. Assisting the team on matters relating to student and academic administration, including any data entry as required or triaging of more complex matters to other more senior team members. Administering the Casual Academic Hire and Pay processes for teaching and assessment activities in the School, including creation of new hires, course scheduling, resolution of standard pay schedule errors, and review of mandatory training compliance. Representing the School at TSXPO, UQ Open Day, and other events as required. Providing leave coverage for the Executive Assistant to the Head of School and School Manager as required. About You Our ideal candidate will possess: Completion of a diploma level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Excellent interpersonal and written skills and a commitment to providing high level service. Ability to work as part of a team and to organise workflow to meet competing demands and deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work. An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds. High level computing skills, preferably using Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, JAC, Business Objects, and the use of CRM systems is desirable.
