School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Full-time (100%), permanent position Base salary will be in the range $91,658.60 - $98,330.37 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Senior Administration Officer to support the effective and efficient operation of the Student and Academic Administration team in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In this role, you will provide high-level support on a range of student and academic administration functions for the efficient operation of the school’s teaching and learning activities. This position is responsible for the supervision of student administration staff in the school office, including the management of workloads, under the direction of the Manager, Academic Programs and Student Support. Key responsibilities will include: Provide administrative subject matter expertise as relevant to the role and function. Provide interpretation and advice to academic staff on policy and procedures relating to teaching and learning matters. Respond to complex and non-routine inquiries and guide others in the application of a range of management information systems. Coordinate the implementation of the school’s course offerings. Manage the school’s administrative processes for Academic Misconduct and Student Grievance. Act as secretary to school committees and other staff meetings, including preparation of agendas and minutes, draft reports and compile submissions for consideration/approval by Faculty and University committees. Manage tutor administration and casual academic hire payment system. Contribute to the development and review of School guidelines and procedures relating to coursework program and student administration. High level of interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to understand and apply university policies and procedures related to student and academic administration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively within a team. Working knowledge of university administrative systems, or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
