About the role As a Finance Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with and provide high-quality support to the Finance & Operations group. You will join a collaborative and engaging team, where you will be provided mentorship, support, ongoing training and encouragement for progression. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Responding to day-to-day enquiries and providing assistance to the Finance team; Ensuring daily processing and payment of creditor invoices; Managing appropriate authorisation of creditor invoices and cheques drawn; Reviewing and processing trust payments pertaining to PEXA settlements and processing of trust receipts; Daily banking, data entry and archiving relating to accounts payable / receivable / controlled monies; Performing daily bank reconciliations; and Filling in for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Controlled Monies during periods of annual leave. About you To be successful in this position, you will be a motivated individual with a passion for numbers and at least 12 months of experience working in a professional services firm. Ideally, you will also be able to demonstrate: The ability to liaise with all internal and external clients, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and discretion; Attention to detail with a high level of numeracy skills; The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise work according to urgency; Familiarity with, or the ability to train in, the use of Word and Excel and a computerised practice management system such as Aderant Expert.
