About the Role YCSS currently has various part time roles located across our North Brisbane and Moreton Bay region – Kallangur to Caboolture however there is also the capacity for you to pick up additional shifts at our other regions. The part time positions that are currently available consist of the following: • 28 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT Week 1 of pay cycle Wednesday - 2pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover (8hours) - Finish time 6am Week 2 of pay cycle Wednesday - 2pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover (8 hours) Finish time 6am Saturday - 6pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover 6-8am (6 hours) Finish time 8am Sunday - 4pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover (6 hours) Finish time 6am • 44 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT Week 1 of pay cycle Thursday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover (8 hours) – Finish time 6am Friday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover 6-8am (10 hours) Finish time 8am Sunday – 8am – 4pm (8hrs) Week 2 of pay cycle Thursday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover (8 hours) – Finish time 6am Friday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover 6-8am (10 hours) Finish time 8am • 58 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT Week 1 of pay cycle Monday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover (8hours) – Finish time 6am Tuesday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover (8 hours) – Finish time 6am Friday – 6am – 2pm (8 hours) Saturday – 8am – 6pm (10hours) Week 2 of pay cycle Monday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover (8hours) – Finish time 6am Tuesday – 2pm – 10pm Inactive Sleepover (8 hours) – Finish time 6am Friday – 6am – 2pm (8 hours) As a Support Worker you will be required to: • Provide a high standard of practical support through therapeutic programs for Young People living in Residential Out-of-Home Care. • Manage challenging and complex behaviours. • Provide support through daily routines, education, recreational lifestyle support, home maintenance and hygiene. About You • You are resilient, confident, and able to maintain self-awareness in challenging situations. • You can build rapport quickly and maintain relationships. • You work well under pressure and can handle complex and challenging behaviours, historical trauma, and reactive attachment disorders. • Be prepared to work afternoons, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. Essential Criteria: • Current First Aid & CPR Certification • Current Paid Blue Card – Working with Children • Current Open QLD Driver Licence • Willing and able to use a company vehicle • Hope and Healing Course (this can be provided by YCSS) • Ability to complete and pass a Licensed Care Services screening check – LCS2/LCS7 (Please note that this check can take up to 4 weeks to be processed). • You must have a reliable registered motor vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and willingness to transport young people (Vehicle will need to be a minimum of a 4-door sedan to be able to safely transport children and young people if required). • Hold a Certificate IV or above in industry- related field (Please refer to DCYJMA Minimum Qualification Standards for all Residential Care staff in Queensland).
