The Role This role is within the Investment Management Services Team who provide support to the Private Wealth Institutional Broking and Corporate Finance divisions. The role works closely with the Private Wealth team, Client Adoption Group, the settlement team, Head of Operations as well as external partners. Key Responsibilities • Provide a high-quality service to the business; • Processing new applications in a timely and accurate manner; • Reconcile balances of client holdings, income and expenses, cash receipts and payments, money market, external holdings (managed funds or margin lending holdings) and ensure they are reflected accurately and processed correctly in Wilsons systems; • Managing outstanding information and funds to ensure accurate client portfolios. • Managing the client’s entire investment portfolio mail (from registries, margin lending statements, money market statements and other paperwork); • Processing managed fund orders; • Ongoing management of Managed Portfolios (separately managed accounts); • Compile ad-hoc, Quarterly and end of financial year portfolio reports for clients or their representatives within the specified deadlines; • Respond to queries on a timely basis; • Liaise with Wilsons advisers and fund managers for all instructions relating to corporate actions such as share offers, buy backs, takeovers etc; • Liaise with Equity Operations team to authorise changes to client details, clarify any information to settle trades, make client deposits and other regular client payments • Proactively assist with process improvements within the departmentPromote, adopt and adhere to the standards set out in our compliance and operational manuals and policies • Identify and raise opportunities for improvement • Strong and solid working relationships with peers and internal partners. • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our business operations, products/ services, systems, and the associated risks. Qualification, Experience and Skills • Secondary Education (HSC or Equivalent) • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (Commerce, Economics, Financial Markets (desirable) • Working knowledge of business practices as well as payment/settlement transaction processing, ASX, regulatory standards and processes and AML/CTF Legislation • Experience operating in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment • Knowledge of the IRESS and/or the Agility DART systems (preferable) • Possess an advanced level of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and OutlookStrong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in completed work. • Ability to gain an understanding of corporate and specific policies/control environment, as well as key processes, practices and routines that impact compliance requirements. • Capable of thinking laterally and using this to problem solve effectively • Established time management skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet conflicting deadlines. • Thinking outside the process and challenging it If you are interested in this role, please send your CV and a cover letter to su.arorawilsonsadvisory.com.au
