Description Role details: Permanent Full-Time, 8am to 4pm. Works term-time only (salary is averaged and then paid across 52 weeks). Commencement c. first week of May (negotiable). Reports to the Director of Music P-12. Full training and handover provided by outgoing incumbent. Key duties: Provide wide-ranging administrative and customer service support to staff, students, and parents, acting as the faculty's central hub for communication and organisation. Assist with coordination and ongoing operation of Extra Curricular Music tuition (private instrumental lessons). Oversee scheduling and logistics for use of Music facilities and rooms. Manage all stores and supplies for the department, handling purchasing and working with the school's Finance department to allocate and track ancillary student charges and costs. Assist with special events and activities within the department. Skills And Experiences The ideal candidate: Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing administrative role (e.g. Office Manager). Experience working in a school highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to interact with school-aged children in a professional context. At least an intermediate level of computer literacy. Refined organisation and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships in a large department full of different personalities. Able to respond to direction but also work independently. Personable with a good sense of humour.
