About the Centre/Service About Our Organisation: Box Hill South Pre School is a warm and inviting, not for profit Community Kindergarten. We offer an exciting, engaging and stimulating play-based program delivered by enthusiastic and passionate educators for sessional 3YO and 4YO groups. Our purpose-built kindergarten is situated in a peaceful and natural setting and shares the wonderful facilities of Box Hill South Family Centre. Our large, bright playroom and spacious outdoor play area allow every child the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential, and the warm and caring environment created by our dedicated teaching team Description Box Hill South Pre School is looking for an ECT to fill a permanent part time role in our 3-year-old group This is a shared Teaching role working closely with the 3-year-old Early Childhood Co -Teacher, 3-year-old educator and the rest of our terrific team. We are looking for someone who has a significant amount of experience in teaching and working in a close team environment. Ideally, the applicant will be seeking long-term, stable employment. Specific hours are: Session times are 8.30-2.30 Monday and Friday. Your hours will be - 8.00- 8.30 set up program for the day, - 8.30-1.00 contact session time - Remainder 3.5 hrs non-contact hours will be scheduled in consultation allowing for Team meeting, planning and related administrative tasks. - Plus 1hr monthly staff meetings (after hours) The successful person will; Express a genuine and passion for play based learning Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in educational programming and implementation Be willing to work as part of a team to provide a high quality education Show a clear understanding of Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, The National Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards and the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework Early Childhood Qualifications - Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA - Enthusiasm for play-based early education with experience planning and implementing educational programs - Demonstrates Initiative, Resourcefulness and Efficient Time Management - An ability to form positive working relationships with families and colleagues, communicating with children, parents, staff and other professionals. - A professional team-based work ethic reflecting co-operation, flexibility, respect and a willingness to facilitate team building while taking on leadership of the team. - Knowledge of VEYLDF and NQS. - Knowledge of Licensing and Regulations Requirements Current first aid – including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training
