Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a Restaurant Server, you'll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest's experience to their unique tastes, you'll create memories as delightful as the dishes. We are now looking for two Part- Time and one Causal. Your day to day - Creating a warm welcome to everyone and setting the tone for each guest's experience - Prepare food and beverages for service to guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards - Look after your bar - keep it clean and tidy and make sure the alcohol is always secure - Handle cash and credit transactions - Look smart -wear your uniform with pride - Be ready to jump into other ad hoc duties when your colleagues need your help - Always follow safety procedures - Monitor guest behaviour and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable - Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary - Take action to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction, notify team leader on shift of an experienced issues - Receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as needed What we need from you Strong - sometimes you'll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling Literate - you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths Flexible - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job Compliant - as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you'll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language Articulate - a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to What we offer We'll reward all your hard work with a great salary and benefits including a uniform, great room discount and superb training.
