As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team. About the Role As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating and converting sales opportunities across our unique properties in QLD: Waters Edge Weddings & Events, Riverlife, and Queensland Museum. You will play a crucial role in driving our venue’s growth through inbound sales conversion, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with clients. Your role will also include responding to incoming inquiries promptly, ensuring a timely and efficient customer experience, as well as managing key client accounts across QLD venues and in an offsite capacity. You will collaborate with various departments to deliver exceptional event experiences while meeting revenue targets. Key Responsibilities Proactively prospect and generate new leads across key markets, including weddings, corporate events, and private functions. Respond to incoming inquiries in a timely manner, providing exceptional service and converting inquiries into confirmed bookings. Conduct venue tours and presentations, showcasing the unique offerings and features of Waters Edge Weddings & Events, Riverlife, and Queensland Museum. Manage client relationships from initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up, working closely with the Event Manager to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction. Represent the venues at industry events, expos, and networking functions to generate new business. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to effectively position our venues. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events are executed flawlessly, staying on budget and exceeding client expectations. About You A strong background in sales and negotiation with a focus on lead generation, face-to-face meetings, and business development. Minimum 2 years' experience in an event management or planning role within a high-end hospitality group, venue, luxury hotel, or catering company. Proven ability to respond to inquiries promptly and professionally, turning leads into lasting relationships and successful bookings. Outstanding ability to listen to clients, understand their event vision, and provide tailored, expert advice to bring their event to life. Passion for exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with clients and industry suppliers. A proven track record in meeting individual and team sales targets through negotiating strong financial outcomes for the business. Superior attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for exceeding expectations.
