In this role you will be responsible for prototyping, building and deploying advanced analytics and machine learning software related to the residential property market. This hands-on role will suit a generalist who enjoys working with a range of technologies and tools used for automating and deploying models into a production environment. The role must be knowledgeable and able to apply standards and best-practices for technical excellence and compliance with security, governance, privacy and ethical requirements. What will you be doing? - Develop and maintain analytics software solutions using AWS services, such as Batch, Lambda, CloudFormation, API Gateway, Athena, etc. - Collaborate with data-scientists and business-stakeholders to understand computing needs and help translate these into technical specifications. - Assist in supporting and monitoring existing analytics production workflows, including batch computing and machine learning (ML) processes, as well as APIs. - Ensure that all data processes and assets are well-documented, up-to-date, and easy to understand for the team. - Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate new technologies or methods to improve processes. Job Qualifications: ­­­­­­Are you the right fit? To be successful in this role the key competencies required include: - Strong technical skills in Python essential. - Experience with AWS or equivalent other cloud environments - any or all of EC2, S3, RDS, Athena, Dynamo DB, AWS lambda, API Gateway. - Experience in server less architectures, containerization & CI/CD – API development experience also desirable. - Experience in working on full products lifecycle, from proof-of-concept through to release to market - Strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, focus on accuracy, critical 'out-of-the-box' thinking. - Ability to assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures, and recommend improvements. - Ability to work well as part of an agile team as well as independently with minimal supervision. - Delivery oriented and ability to drive towards deadlines and ensuring customer outcomes are delivered. - Strong inter-personal communication skills and ability to have your message heard and understood­ What credentials do you need? - Bachelors (or higher) degree in computing, mathematics, statistics, or science related disciplines. - Minimum of 1-2 years commercial experience using relevant software tools, e.g. SQL, Python, AWS, GCP. - Experience in working in a data-lead business or an equivalent department in a larger company. ­­­­What does success look like? Key Performance Indicators are based on: - Completion of tasks/projects by the required timeframe. - Meeting SLA’s for trouble shooting and issue resolution of analytics products. - Identifying process improvements and automating where possible. - Increase revenue generated through the delivery of analytics products. - CORE Behaviours.
