Position: Carpenter Start : Immediate Location: Beresfield Full time hours $44 - $46 per hour super allowances We are seeking an experienced, trade qualified Carpenter for an immediate start with our Government client. In this role you will be required to carry out all carpentry trade activities associated with civil construction, including the maintenance of bridge elements, culverts, concrete, timber and steel structures. The role will require the candidate to work away from home on occasions (living away allowance paid). Key responsibilities General maintenance of bridges and culverts Housekeeping of site tool sheds and trailers Formwork and falsework for concrete bridge elements, kerbs, end posts, topping slabs etc. Chainsaw and adze work on large timber bridge elements, girders etc. Steel fixing Skills in the use of battery hand tools Bolting of steel bridge components To be successful you will require: Minimum Certificate III in Carpentry. White Card. Workers on Foot (or willing to obtain) Working at Heights ticket (highly desirable). Ability to work both days and nights. Flexibility to work away from home when needed.
