The role provides administrative support to a team of Partners and Lawyers in the General Insurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running and be part of a friendly, fast paced team. You will be responsible for: opening and closing matters; saving documents to our document management system iManage; conflict searches and infotrack searches (company searches/title searches); credit card filing fees (chrome); disbursements, invoices and credit card charges; trust receipting / EFT’s; court filing (Magistrate, County and Supreme); preparing briefs, ebriefs, letters and court documents (NOA’s, Supboeans, Affidavits etc); billing – include KPI monitoring; collating / serving documents by email & post; basic client reporting; distributing Aus post mail; maintains Partners/lawyers’ contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications; and other ad-hoc administration duties as required. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: minimum two years’ experience in a legal assistant role; experience in insurance litigation is desirable; highly organised; strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills; a strong ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; experience in using legal billing system and client management program (eg. Aderant would be desirable but not required); and experience in using document management system (eg iManage10 would be desirable but not required).
